About me

As Deputy County Counsel for the County of Riverside’s Office of County Counsel, Mr. Gettis focuses his practice on providing the County with legal advice in the preparation and management of complex documents and compliance procedures pursuant to the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA).  Additionally, Mr. Gettis oversees the County’s compliance pursuant to the Clean Water Act.

 

Mr. Gettis has over 13 years of experience working with complex real estate, environmental, and land use issues as both a licensed attorney and a consultant. He has obtained land use permits and managed regulatory compliance efforts for large-scale commercial/resort developments, residential planned communities, mining operations, large-scale energy projects, telecommunication facilities, habitat resource management plans, water infrastructure and electrical transmission projects.
