I am an intellectual property attorney in the Greater Salt Lake City area. I am a member of the Utah State Bar and licensed to practice before the United States Patent and Trademark Office. However, because intellectual property law is federal law, I can help clients located anywhere in the world. I have a Ph.D. in the life sciences area and worked as a scientist for nearly 30 years before studying law. I made this transition into law because, as an inventor, I felt that there was a communication gap between the inventor and the patent attorney. I decided to study law so that I could bridge that gap. I understand the technology my clients bring to me. I also understand their needs having been in their shoes as the inventor. I worked as a scientist in academic instututions and in small to mid-sized biotech/pharma companies so I understand the needs of these clients. We work well together because we speak the same language. I know what the client needs from me as an attorney. I seek to help my clients use their intellectual property to achieve their business goals.

Ms. Pear answered my e-mail with in two day with a personal phone call. She spent nearly 30 maybe 40 minutes making sure that I had at least a path to follow even though want I was looking for is not something she handles. Unfortunately I am not far enough along in this process to get to use the obvious expertise she and kind professionalism I was preying to be ready for. I will be back for her help once or if I actually need her skills. I thank you Ms. Pearman for your guidance. I am looking forward to hearing from you again on that Silencing Agent issue. I hope Ms. Pearman is happy to learn I already have some 3 or 4 hours of study in on the very advice she gave “AS THE FOOT PRINT TO FOLLOW”
THANKS AGAIN i ONLY HOPE MY BRAIN CAN OVER COME MY DISEASE LONG ENOUGH TO UNDERSTAND AND MAKE IT THROUGH THIS LEGAL MAZE. I THINK THE INTERNATIONAL PROVISIONAL IS THE WAY I AM LEANING. so Thank You. Get ready to protect me and my medical innovation/invention Ms. Pearman I’ll see you in 8 to 14 months, 14 if I mess it up 😉
Terrece has been a miracle. I know that sounds hyperbolic, but her service, knowledge, and resources are beyond amazing. We are a small start-up company with the concerns of both financials and direction. Where were we to go? How to start? And how in the world were we going to afford any of it? Not only was Terrece willing to work with us inside of a budget, but she still gave us 5-star service. She is sweet, insightful, helpful, and able to connect people with excellent resources outside herself. Our investment in Terrece has become an invaluable investment in our future. Thank you Terrece! You are simply amazing.
Anne is a excellent attorney and very knowledgeable about the patenting process. She proved very helpful from the time I first developed by concept through all my dealings with the US Patent Office, keeping me well informed throughout. I highly recommend her to anyone interesting in obtaining a patent.
