Carolyn E. Guy represents individuals and businesses in employment and commercial litigation.
Carolyn is a seasoned attorney, with extensive experience in corporate law, commercial litigation, employment law, trade secretes, severance agreements, and estate planning. She manages all aspects of legal disputes, including client counseling, oral advocacy, and dispute resolution. Carolyn has tried cases in both state and federal court and has significant arbitration experience.
Carolyn has handled all types of litigation, including multiparty claims and class action disputes. She has experience in broker-dealer arbitration, clearing firm matters, securities fraud, churning complaints, and unauthorized trading and suitability claims. Carolyn also has experience with regulatory and employment matters, including compliance investigations, wrongful discharge, discrimination, wage and hour disputes, and non-compete, non-solicitation, and non-disclosure agreements.
Prior to joining Trepanier MacGillis Battina P.A., Carolyn previously worked in private practice and as an in-house litigator for RBC Capital Markets, LLC. Carolyn served on the SIFMA arbitration committee for many years and tried numerous matters in FINRA arbitration.
In addition to practicing law, Carolyn is an avid cyclist and a die-hard Cubs fan (although she enjoys rooting for the Minnesota Twins and Lynx as well). Carolyn is an animal and nature lover and is active in outdoor adventures throughout all Minnesota seasons – although, admittedly, summer water sports and bicycling are her favorite activities.
